"When one of my roommates moved out I moved my gear into his room momentarily. The room was completely empty and stripped of everything that made it his. Sitting on the floor I wrote a song about everyone who has moved out of my life or our space, for better or for worse. The friends that you go through troubled times with and can’t look at the same and the ones who don’t look the same but you look at them the same. The demo process for this was almost exact to Happy and it was stripped even more back with Erik. You have to let things go from time to time and sometimes that includes people. At the end of the day, you shouldn’t think any less of them." - Guy
Originally demoed with Guy Battaglia, Joseph Enright, Mathew Herman, Kevin Houston, and Chris Russo at Stephen Kellner's studio.
lyrics
Happy
When you moved out were you angry,
Or just trying to start something new without us.
Would it help if, you forget me
Since I can’t hold my tongue for very long.
If nothing makes you stay what could I do
Now we’re fine and I still see you but every time we meet up somethings weird
And you smile in every picture
But I know what goes on outside the camera
If nothing makes you stay what could I do
