A contemporary and nostalgic approach to Guy Battaglia's songwriting.
"Beginning as just another melody on the acoustic guitar, My End startled my own thoughts with feelings of nostalgia. I foresaw “the sounds of my childhood”, and reflected on the sounds of Indie-Rock bands from the 90s'. After listening to the final instrumentation back for the first time, I felt something indescribably large about the song. Lyrically, the song captures the emotions of a relationship broken beyond repair. While the narrator means well, they have inevitably become an enabler to a much larger problem beyond their control. Despite the narrator's effort to do what's best for both parties involved, everything still goes wrong. Since the narrator can't seem to save their significant other even from themself, they choose to just accept all of the blame for them. Sometimes this is the only way to move on. "
Musically, "My End" is a fresh, uplifting, and nostalgic sounding track that distracts listeners from its more melancholy lyrics. If you've ever been in a toxic relationship you'll probably find yourself relating to the verses, that's if you're not already busy singing along to the chorus."

lyrics
My End
I went to your house to see what you're on about
We had a falling out but I know that you're okay for now
I went to do the things in my life that you've been holding me back from
But it's true what they say about you and after you
Everything Was so wrong
On My End
I went to your house, to stop you from hurting yourself
You said I'm better now, but I got the vibe before I left
Everything was so wrong
On My End
On My End
On My End
On My End
On My End
Everything was so wrong
On My ...
On My End
On My End
On My End
On My End
