New Year’s Eve (the song, not the date) marks the beginning of our relationship with Connor in the studio. After Nick had recorded Magic 8 Ball with Connor he approached Guy to assist him on his first EP as Nameling. One track from this session even predates Guy and Nick’s friendship and is discussed further in this episode. So if you like tones, emo legends, and heartbreak this might be the podcast for you. New Year’s Eve has taken many shapes acoustically but the culmination of everyone who worked on it produced a very special version of the song while still keeping its heart on its sleeve.
